1. What MergeSheet is

MergeSheet is a Google Workspace add-on that fills a Google Docs template with data from a Google Sheets row and produces a PDF in your Google Drive. It can generate one document at a time, every row in a sheet, or a document automatically whenever a linked Google Form receives a response.

By installing or using MergeSheet you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install it.

2. Your Google account

MergeSheet runs inside your Google account and requires you to grant certain permissions, which are listed in full in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Anyone who can access your Google account can use MergeSheet as you.

Your subscription is tied to the Google account email address you install with. If your organisation manages your Google account, make sure you are permitted to install add-ons before doing so.

3. Plans and pricing

• Free. Up to 25 documents per calendar month. No payment method required. The counter resets at the start of each month.
• Paid. $4.99 per month or $49 per year, for unlimited documents.

A "document" means one generated output file. A run that produces fifty PDFs counts as fifty documents.

We may change prices in future. If we do, existing subscribers keep their current price for the remainder of the term they have already paid for, and we will give notice before any change takes effect at renewal.

4. Billing, cancellation, and refunds

Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time using the Manage subscription button in the MergeSheet sidebar, which opens your Stripe billing page. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then reverts to the free plan. We do not delete anything when you downgrade.

Refunds

If MergeSheet does not work for you, email [email protected] within 30 days of a charge and we will refund it in full, no explanation required. This applies to your first charge on either plan.

For later renewals, we will refund a recent charge if you contact us promptly and have not made substantial use of the plan during that period. We would rather refund you than argue with you.

Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. A dispute costs us a fee and takes months, whereas an email is usually resolved the same day.

5. Your content stays yours

Your templates, spreadsheets, and generated documents belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and no licence to use them. As explained in the Privacy Policy, they never reach our servers in the first place.

6. Checking your own documents

MergeSheet replaces the tags you write with the values in your spreadsheet. It does not know what those values mean, and it cannot tell whether a number is correct.

You are responsible for checking that the documents MergeSheet generates are correct before you rely on them, send them, or act on them. This matters most for invoices, contracts, and anything with money or dates in it. The "Check template" button exists to help you catch mismatched tags before you generate, and we recommend using it whenever you change a template or a column heading.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use MergeSheet to:

• produce anything unlawful, fraudulent, or deliberately misleading;
• infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
• generate documents on behalf of a person or organisation without their authority;
• send communications the recipient has not agreed to receive, where doing so is unlawful in your jurisdiction;
• circumvent the free plan limit, including by using multiple accounts to avoid paying; or
• interfere with the add-on's operation or with Google's platform.

8. Availability and Google dependencies

We aim to keep MergeSheet working reliably, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability.

MergeSheet runs on Google's Apps Script platform and depends on Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive. It is also subject to Google's own quotas and execution limits. If Google changes, restricts, or suspends any of those services, MergeSheet may stop working in ways outside our control. We will make reasonable efforts to adapt, and to tell you when we cannot.

9. Warranty disclaimer

MergeSheet is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MergeSheet is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of the add-on.

Our total liability for any claim relating to MergeSheet is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the three months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Termination

You may stop using MergeSheet at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, particularly the acceptable use section, and where practical we will tell you why first. If we terminate your access without cause, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid term.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. For material changes affecting your rights or what you pay, we will give reasonable notice before they take effect. Continuing to use MergeSheet after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The courts of New York State have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your own country.
